I just had an interesting conversation with our Silverplatter rep about
this question.

First off:  We can ask them to change the default display to add
descriptors (or any other general field that this group reaches consensus on.)

To aid the process, let me suggest that you discuss the issue in this
forum, and if there is no further commentary, I will ask SP to add
descriptors to the default display on 3/15.

Secondarily.  The only way we could have *different* defaults for each file
is if we split the files apart.  That is: they would no longer display in a
single list and those files in different lists wouldn't be cross searchable.

Finally, Sandy.  The rep indicated that others have asked for complete
display to be the norm for Polling the Nation.  It looks like that (or
close to that) will happen without us having to do anything -- BUT!  will
only happen in the Java version, not the regular web version.  If we need
something different in the regular web version, the above -- split off of
the file would apply.
