a number of confused/frustrated patrons have asked this question:

Can we please have the Advanced Search interface be the default on the new 
system?

Anybody care to debate my request?  I think it makes sense, since most 
users seem to be able to limit their initial searches to fields, and this 
is not at all obvious on our current page.
